As long as ~ ; to the extent that ~ ; while ~ holds.
When to use it
Sets a conditional boundary on a statement. Common in advisor language, contracts, IR comments, and risk-bounded commitments — "as long as the regulation stands, X applies." Useful when you want to commit within a frame without overcommitting outside it. Cleaner than ~なら for stating a continuing condition; cleaner than ~ば for binding to a specific scope.
Formation
現行の規制が維持される限り、当該スキームは引き続き有効です。 Genkō no kisei ga iji sareru kagiri, tōgai sukīmu wa hikitsuzuki yūkō desu. As long as the current regulation is maintained, the scheme in question remains in effect.
