When to use it

When emphasizing that something extends beyond the first point to include an additional point (often surprising or significant).

Formation

Verb: [verb stem] + ばかりか → 売上が増えたばかりか、利益も倍増した (Not only did sales increase, but profit doubled too) I-Adj: 高いばかりか → 品質も良い (Not only is it expensive, but the quality is also good) Noun: マネージャー + ばかりか → CEO も参加した (Not only the manager, but the CEO also attended)
