Due to; per; regarding
When to use it
Formal written marker with three distinct uses: (1) causal — "due to [reason]," on official notices and announcements; (2) ratio/unit — "per [unit]," in pricing and policy documents; (3) topical — "regarding [matter]," in memos and correspondence headers. More elevated register than ため (tame) or について (ni tsuite) — appears on public signage, contract clauses, internal circulars, and formal letters. Almost never spoken; overwhelmingly written.
