Grammar

N2· hand-written

~とおりに

~ tōri ni

Exactly as; as per; in the same way as [stated/instructed/written]

When to use it

Use when you are faithfully replicating or confirming compliance with a prior instruction, specification, agreement, or stated fact. Signals procedural faithfulness — "I did/will do it exactly this way." Distinct from に基づいて (citing an authority) and を踏まえて (absorbing context); とおりに copies the template exactly. Essential in instructions to vendors, construction/delivery confirmations, and formal written procedures.
