~たら最後
~tara saigo
once you..., that's it
When to use it
Use ~たら最後 to state that a single action triggers an irreversible, usually undesirable outcome — there is no going back. It carries a warning tone and appears often in negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance contexts. The variant ~たが最後 is stiffer and more literary; both are far stronger than plain ~たら.
